Five Seconds to Air

Logline

As her interview with a rising US Democratic Senator draws near, a passionate yet stubborn news anchor facing the threat of losing her show, discovers alarming information regarding the Senator's campaign financing practices.

My Experience

In my second year at Humber College, I worked as the assistant director and assistant editor on a short narrative film called Five Seconds to Air. This was a wonderful experience that taught me what working on a set was all about. In the pre-production phase I worked closely with the director to plan out each shot and made sure we would make our day. During production, I learned how to take the lead and run a crew. I had to make sure we got all the shots we needed in the allotted hours each day. When we moved into the post production process I changed roles and became the assistant editor. I learned how to organize all the footage and organize the Avid Media Composer project for the editor. This was a great experience that taught me a lot about the filmmaking process.
